Physics teacher at Hakuryo Hiiragi. Yuuko is a genius in her field, but was shut out by learned society because of her anti-authoritarian behavior. So she decided to become a teacher along with Marimo, her best friend. In her free time, she works on a theory related to quantum mechanics.

A person who loves fun more than anything, she constantly is manipulating people and bending rules for her own entertainment. Despite that, she cares deeply about her students and Marimo, helping Takeru with love problems often. Youngest of three daughters, her personality is much more like the free-spirited Mitsuko than Motoko.

In Alternative, Professor Kouzuki is the brains behind mankind's last hope, Alternative VI. A world-renowned quantum physicist and integrative physiologist, at 17, she published a paper on her “Quantum Causality Theory”, working as the head of the Alternative IV head by 1995, before moving to Yokohama after Operation Lucifer. Despite her position as XO, it’s known that she calls the shots at Yokohama Base. With the weight of humanity on her shoulders, she must make cold-hearted decisions, manipulate and sacrifice the people around her to fulfill her dream of saving it.
